www.youtube.com/watch?v=ragK1aJ3yFk Very excited to be a part of the upcoming Virtual Holiday Open House at Tuscaloosa Public Library, which will be recorded on the library's YouTube page, their Facebook Live page, and through Steamyard. I will read 'White Gravy,' a Christmas story about foster care I have written for this event.

I believe future generations benefit from our life stories, whether they are shared with the general public or more intimately with close friends and family. Journaling, blogging, writing in prose or poetry, singing, recording, each of us has a story to tell. This is the photo from the cover of the first volume my brother and I have written for our children and for our children's children's children. It captures some of our experiences living in Tanzania then Tanganyika, when I was fourteen and he was eleven.
